Now accepting applications for the 2021 Diane & Bob Hoover Innovation Award

Pethealth Inc. is proud to announce the return of the Diane & Bob Hoover Annual Innovation Award.

We recognize shelter and rescue staff are battling increasing adversity —facing hurricanes and forest fires environmentally, navigating the COVID-19 pandemic and encountering issues affecting your communities locally. Despite these challenges, organizations are constantly innovating to continue their life-saving work. This year, the 2021 recipient will be an animal welfare organization that has demonstrated such innovation in its community in times of crisis or amidst natural disasters.

Apply Today!

Organizations exemplifying the following criteria should apply:

  • Exhibiting innovation and enhancing shelter operations and/or the advancement of animal welfare in their community during crises or amidst natural disasters
  • Inspiring, exciting, engaging and creating solid values with the organization or community
  • Integrated the innovation before July 1, 2020

A panel of esteemed animal welfare experts and advocates will judge the entries. The grand prize winner receives $15,000 (USD), and we will announce them during the Association for Animal Welfare Advancement’s Fall Conference in New Orleans. New for 2021 – the first runner-up will also be recognized and receive $5,000 (USD).

All applicants are welcome. In 500 words or less, describe the positive impact you’re making on animal welfare during times of crisis. To help highlight the affect of your innovation, where possible, include photos and videos. For complete contest rules and to enter your submission, click here.
